1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using BroadcastBroker (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Independent Local Newspapers Limited ("we", "us", "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using BroadcastBroker, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
3. The Service
BroadcastBroker provides news articles, newsletters, and editorial content across business, finance, health, lifestyle, technology, and entertainment topics. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.
4. Subscriptions and billing
We offer both free and paid subscription plans. By starting a paid subscription you agree that:
- Subscription fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.
- Refunds are available for annual plans cancelled within 14 days of purchase where no premium content has been accessed, in accordance with UK consumer law.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- We use third-party payment processors; your payment card details are governed by their terms and are not stored on our servers.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit content without our prior written permission.
- Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to extract content from the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Post or share content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.
6. Intellectual property
All content published on BroadcastBroker — including text, images, graphics, and code — is owned by or licensed to Independent Local Newspapers Limited and protected by UK and international copyright law. You may share individual articles via social media with proper attribution ("Source: BroadcastBroker"). Systematic copying or commercial use without written permission is prohibited.
Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Editorial content is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional financial, legal, health, or other advice. You should seek independent professional advice before acting on any information published on the Service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Independent Local Newspapers Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater. 10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing to access the site. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately and without notice if you breach these Terms. On termination, Sections 6, 7, 8, and 11 continue in full force.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer residing in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also rely on the laws of your home jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will post the new Terms on this page with an updated date and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email at least 14 days in advance. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
